Terms and conditions
Effective Date: 27 January 2026
These terms and conditions govern your use of the Clarity application and website, operated by Fieldwork Group Ltd. By using Clarity, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.
Subscription and billing
Clarity is offered on a subscription basis with a 7-day free trial. Pricing is clearly displayed on our website and within the app before you subscribe. After your trial period ends, you will be charged the monthly subscription fee through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account, depending on your device. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your app store account settings. Cancellations take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Information purposes only
Clarity is a data recording and tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical or nutritional advice. The metrics, scores, and analysis provided by the app are for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon to make health decisions. Always consult a qualified physician or registered nutritionist if you have questions about your health, medical conditions, or dietary requirements.
Responsible use
We want Clarity to support your wellbeing, not harm it. If you have a history of eating disorders, or if using a nutrition tracker causes you anxiety or distress, please discontinue use immediately and speak to a medical professional. We reserve the right to terminate accounts where we believe usage patterns may indicate a risk to user health or safety.
Prohibited conduct
You must use Clarity responsibly and lawfully. You agree not to use bots, scrapers, or automated systems to access the app or API, attempt to bypass or reverse engineer any security measures, overburden our infrastructure with excessive requests, or use the app for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable laws. Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your access and potential legal action.
AI accuracy and limitations
Clarity uses artificial intelligence to estimate nutritional values from your food logs. AI analysis is probabilistic and can make errors. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any nutritional data provided by the system. You are responsible for verifying all information and should not rely solely on app outputs for critical health decisions.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fieldwork Group Ltd and Clarity shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use or inability to use the service, any conduct or content of third parties, or any reliance on information provided through the app.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted within the app and on our website. Continued use of Clarity after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
